Porcelain crowns, and inlays, and onlays using a technology called CEREC allows us to provide these types of restorations in one visit. In the past, when a patient needed a crown, or an onlay, or an inlay, it was necessary to take an impression of the tooth, make a temporary, and to reappoint the patient to be scheduled another time to actually place the permanent restoration. That's a thing of the past in my office. Nowadays a patient could come in with a broken tooth or a tooth that needs to be restored and they leave with a permanent restoration. I cannot tell you now much patients really love this. It saves time, it gives them the ability to utilize their new crown the same day they receive it so it’s eliminated all of these steps and it only requires one appointment, once again. So the tooth doesn't have to be anesthetized twice, you don’t have to sit in the chair twice, it’s revolutionary. I have a few in my own mouth. I have my staff that has received this procedure. It’s something we do every day in the office. And patients are absolutely wowed by the technology. It’s something to really see.
