In recent years there has been a dramatic improvement in strength in porcelain. As a result the support for bridgework and crowns no longer has to be metal. Most of our restorations are all porcelain, whether they be bridges or crowns, thus making the result much more esthetic for a patient. The gray lines that you often see with crowns are a thing of the past nowadays. When a patient comes in from the time that they leave their appearance will be improved whether we’re fixing a tooth that is in the back of the mouth or in the front of the mouth we treat it equally in terms of the importance of it looking like a natural tooth that will look the same way years down the line.
