In my practice we use composite resin materials for restoring teeth. In other words we use tooth colored materials as opposed to silver or gold materials to place fillings or replacing crowns with all white colored materials. This is important nowadays because truly people no longer want things in their mouth that aren’t esthetic and if restorative dentistry was invented today I don’t think metal products would even be an issue. They wouldn't exist. There are certain cases where I actually prefer doing composite bonding over porcelain veneers because I have complete and total control over the result and the results are immediate. They could be done in one appointment and the results are astonishing.
