Dr. Mitchell S. Milan founded Birmingham Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in 1985 when he saw that conventional dentistry provided less than acceptable results when it came to the appearance of materials used for fillings and crowns. At the same time, patients were requesting services to improve their smiles. Over the past 16 years, Dr. Milan has performed and refined techniques used in dental implants, porcelain veneers, and Invisalign® orthodontics to restore patient’s smiles. Dr. Milan performs such revolutionary dental procedures as Zoom!® teeth whitening, contact lens-thin LUMINEERS®, porcelain bridges, all-porcelain crowns, porcelain dental veneers, and Invisalign® at his private practice in Birmingham, Michigan.

Dr. Milan has dedicated his practice to smile enhancement and general dentistry. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Milan earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and his dental degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He completed his dental residency at Sinai Hospital in 1985. After finishing his residency, he founded Birmingham Center for Cosmetic Dentistry; since the practice’s conception, Dr. Milan has performed thousands of cosmetic procedures on his patients, including many well-known celebrities.

Devoted to the continuing evolution of the field, Dr. Milan has found ways to pass his knowledge on to dental students and colleagues. He lectures to both dental students and dentists alike about cosmetic and high-tech dentistry. He was the first instructor to introduce a dedicated series of lectures as part of the curriculum at the UDM School of Dentistry. This position allows him to act as a mentor to up-and-coming dentists, as well as stay attuned to the developments in the field as he and his peers exchange information on the latest and greatest dental innovations.

A truly outstanding dentist should maintain memberships to prestigious dental associations; this shows a dedication to the field and a standard of excellence. Dr. Milan is a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Oakland County Dental Society.

On a more personal note, Dr. Milan has been married to his wife Jill for over 20 years, and the couple has two sons. Dr. Milan and his wife are active in the Birmingham community.
